Vee's Restaurant

Moved to new location, review was for old location. Now on 896 Nostrand Ave..The West Indian food at Vees is very good, so that's why I gave them 4 stars! But the restaurant itself is shabby and overdue for a makeover. Considering how much money they make, there really is no excuse. They always have customers and there are always plenty of people standing in line, waiting for a good 15 to 20 minutes after they place their orders to finally get them. Even if you call ahead, you will still have to wait because depending on the server, they will not have it ready. Thankfully, it was not as packed today and I waited about 5-7 minutes for my called in order. The food I order is usually curry chicken or oxtail. Small curry chicken $6, med $8 and a small oxtail is $8, med is $11 and large is $15. I still haven't figured out which size plate is the better deal.

I must say I have been going to Vees for years and I went recently and the food was horrible. The food is nothing what it use to be. Not sure if they changed cook. The decor was very shabby.
